PHILOSOPHY:
Designing a website
involves much more than just getting your text and images up on the
internet. A good website should be interactive, dynamic and helpful
to the reader. Your viewers need to be able to find you easily and
have reasons to stay at your site. Your website should be a place
they remember and want to visit again in the future.
In every site we
design or manage, DanyoDesigns seeks to incorporate the following
principles:
-
Intuitive Design - All content is contained within a
solid framework with consistent buttons and a unified look. Visitors
will not have to search to find their way and should never
have to use the "back" button. Links to external websites always
open in a new window so your visitor doesn't accidentally leave your
site before they are ready.
-
Viewer Accessibility
- Special care is taken to ensure that colors, styles and
images used do not compromise the legibility of your site. We also
make sure your information will be conveyed properly for visitors
who may be using increased font sizes, text-readers or text-only
browsers.
-
Cross-browser Compatibility -
Different computers and different browsers (Internet Explorer,
Mozilla Firefox, Netscape, Opera, etc...) can vary in how they
display your website. Some websites still state
"Best viewed with Internet
Explorer 6.0" or "Best
viewed at a screen resolution of 1024 x 768", leaving viewers
on other systems at a disadvantage. We review your website on
multiple browsers to ensure that your site is displaying
consistently across platforms and screen resolutions.
-
Search-engine Optimization -
The robots or crawlers sent out by search engines look at a variety of
criteria when indexing and ranking your website. We will work with
you to include appropriate "meta-information", image properties &
links to make your site accessible. (Although no-one can guarantee
you a specific ranking on the search engines, we do offer services
to submit, optimize and monitor your rankings. Please see "Search
Engine Optimization" under SERVICES.)
